Geocache Description:

So this cache number 4 in the series is located at another reserve this one being the Forge Creek water reserve based around river red gums and the native birds of the area. They are now noticed as being important breeding grounds for threatened species of birds such as the white bellied sea eagle and the peregrine falcon. Forge Creek is part of a large "chain of ponds" that are important to temperate eucalypt woodland birds that are disappearing, as they provide a permanent water source even in times of drought. Research in the area shows that Forge Creek supports 32 birds species identified as in decline in 2005.

Fear not - or should you?

Most people have both rational and irrational fears - fear of death, close spaces, spiders, snakes, mice.  The list goes on and on.  Geocaching sometimes forces one to confront those fears.  This little series is no exception

What is lurking in that hole?

This area being a habitat for a creature similar to this seemed like a good idea.

Bring some mozzie repelant as unlike this little guy im sure you dont eat them.
