Some times the road leads to, well, noplace. In this case, it lead to an event. Of course, if you arrive at an event location ahead of time, and there isn't already a cache in the area, what do you do? Well, you could scout. And if you spot something that looks right, you place. Then you get yourself some decent coordinates. You then enlist the assistance of a helpful young cacher and place the container. Once this is done, you wander over to the growing crowd for the event and mingle. You do not publish the cache just yet, oh no, that would be to normal. Yeah, normal. Two days later, you tell people of the new hide not 100' from where they were standing. That is what one could do. Perhaps that is what I did..
