We took the family out to run the Oxbow today, and decided to drop a cache at the launch and landing sight for the 2 to 3 hour 'round trip' canoe ride down the Grand!
This cache is located near the beginning of the trip, and is only really accessible by canoe. The launch site is just up the river a touch off of Cockshutt Road by the bridge.
Do not attempt to get this cache in the wintertime as you'll likely be standing over flowing water!
The canoe ride is quite nice. There aren't any really shallow patches like in other areas of the Grand, and is just a pleasant paddle with the kids!
Take a look a 1 km south of this cache, and you'll find the landing site for the canoe. I've placed the Oxbow - O cache there.
