Geocache Description:

Rock Castle is the former home of Gen. Daniel Smith.
Construction began in 1784, but its completion was delayed by Indian attacks until 1791.

There is no need to go through the gate to get this cache.
You can do this at night if you're up for the thrill but there are no reflectors.
It'll just be you, your flashlight......and the ghost.

----------------------------------------------------

There were many brave Indians who lost their life here at Rock Castle during the attacks.

Numerous people have made claims of seeing ghost walk around and also hearing unexplained noises on these grounds.
I got a chance to talk to the neighbors and this is what I was told, "If you listen closely, on some nights you'll hear the steady beat of a bass drum in the distance and it's always followed by the notorious Indian war cry." She then frightenedly stated, "I'm not too sure about what happens over there, but I am sure that you won't catch me outside at night by myself!"

If you feel the erieness while at this cache, it's probably because you are not alone in these woods.
It'd be smart to bring a friend...but it'd be even smarter to bring a friend that you can outrun.

The final stage is a nice large cache with LOTS of swag for the kiddies.
