Geocache Description:

An abandoned Switch Engine

At one point this might have been a very busy industrial area. Before the 60s this area was the asheville airport, before they built the new one near I26. Link to Airport Histories in WNC "Asheville is 3rd one Down" http://www.airfields-freeman.com/NC/Airfields_NC_W.htm Thanks DD But now it is only some warehouses that are used ocasionally.  Sandwiched between the abandoned and some times used warehouses is a lonly Switch Engine that has been left to rot..Not far away are a couple of abandoned boxcars.   The rail lines leading back here have been cut and are no longer used.   You are seeking a small lock and lock. Beware of some briers.
