Geocache Description:

Kahvikutsut Sinahmin suon laidassa pienen patikointireissun päässä.
Cache located side of the Sinahmi swamp, demands medium walk from the road.

Aika juhlia syntymäpäiviä luonnon helmassa!
Pakkaa kahvit mukaan ja käpsyttele polkua pitkin Sinahmin luonnonsuojelualueen tuntumaan kahvia nauttimaan.

Kätkörasiassa on tilaa pienille kulkijoille, mutta tähän kätköön ei toivota vaihtotavaroita eikä siinä sellaisia ole alunperinkään!

Sinahmi on ollut aikoinaan Kankaanpään suurin järvi, joka kuivattiin 1800-luvulla luhtaiseksi suoksi. Alueesta on kehittynyt erittäin rehevä suursaranevanomainen suokokonaisuus.Sinahmin pesimälinnusto on monipuolinen ja varsinkin suuria petolintuja alueella tavataan useita lajeja kuten huuhkaja, sinisuohaukka ja suopöllö. Lisäksi monet petolinnut saalistavat alueella, mm. hiirihaukka, kanahaukka ja mehiläishaukka. Alueella tavataan runsaasti myös kahlaajia. Hirville Sinahmi on kesäisin tärkeä ruokailupaikka. Tästä huolimatta syyskuun alussa hirvikärpäsiä tavattiin reitillä vain pari satunnaista yksilöä.

Kätkön tuntumaan vie traktoriura, loppumatka hirvien polkuja pitkin. Kun kuulet tikan naputusta, olet jo lähellä. Kumisaappaat voivat olla fiksu varuste, paksun lumen aikaan sukset tai lumikengät helpottavat kulkua.

Cache has room for small travellers, but don't bring or take any exchange of goods !

Sinahmi are former lake, which has dried and thus developed into a very lush swampy area. Sinahmi's nesting is versatile and especially large birds of prey found in the area, such as several species of owl, harrier and the short-eared owl. In addition, many birds of prey hunt in the area, among others buzzard and goshawk. Sinahmi is also important dining area for elk in the summer .
