Geocache Description:

This another one in the series of Village Churches placed in rural Herefordshire. The Churches are in lovely locations and usually have some special feature. The cache container is a small plastic tub.


St Bartholomews Church is late 12 century with 14 century additions and is a grade 1 listed building. It has an unusual plain squat tower with a pyramidal roof. A short stroll around the church will give you the answers to the following simple questions, absolutely NO headstone reading is required. The given Co-Ords are for the Church porch where most answers are to be found.

Question 1 How many points to the "Star burst" on the church door?  A = ?

Question 2. How many nail heads on the top hinge?  B= ?

Question 3 How many nail heads on the bottom hinge? C= ?

Question 4 How many roof struts in the porch? D=?

Now a quick stroll around the building:-

Question 5 How many "fleur-de-Lis" on the brackets(not on the porch light) are there? E =?.
