Geocache Description:

The cache was hidden near the Otsu cape lighthouse.

This lighthouse is located in the northernmost of Ibaraki Prefecture, and it is an important signpost of the ship that goes in and out to the Otsu fishing port and the ship that sails in the coast.
The first lighting was March 25, 1960. But because affected by the earthquake disaster of 2011, the lighthouse was dismantled and renewed in March, 2012.

茨城県最北端に位置する灯台です。 この灯台は、大津漁港に出入りする船舶や沿岸を航行する船舶の大切な道標となっています。
初点灯は1960年3月25日でしたが、2011年の震災で大きくひび割れた灯台は解体され、平成24年3月に、新しく甦りました。
