Introduction
It all started the day our son brought home a brand new kitten named Wolfgang. Up until that day, Malachai had been an only cat, and he liked it that way. He had his choice of sitting areas during the day. He could lie in our bed in peace at night. Life was slow, easy and good. And then ... Wolfgang came.
Wolfgang invaded Malachai's space like a tornado. He touched all of Malachai's stuff. He took his favourite sitting spots. He slept in his spot on the bed. And worst of all, he LOVED to play with Malachai. He would jump on his head. He would bat him in the face. He would attack his tail. It was just too much to bear!
And so one day, Malachai left home.

Where does a cat who has just left home go to live? Somewhere he will be accepted and understood. Somewhere he will be respected. And somewhere no one will find him. And so, on his first day, Malachai went to live amongst the most cat-friendly of plants: cattails.
