Geocache Description:

Daburiya(דאבוריה) Village is an abounded village above the Jalabun river and Daburiya water fall.


Some History

Although today it is a Syrian village that was abounded during the 67 war, it as roots that goes all the way to biblical times. An archeological expedition found some unique artworks that were carved in the black volcanic rock indication there was an important Jewish settlement here including an engraved headstone indicating  that this was the village of Rabbi Elazar Hakapar (which is new in the Museum in Katzerin) to read more

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

How to reach it ?

Start by walking the read trail of the Jalabun river in the direction to the Daburiya Waterfall, then you will see the blue trail that climbs from the waterfall to the village. For more explanations visit this link
