This series of caches has been placed in order to encourage walkers to discover this little known remote area north of Swindon.
Part of the route follows Great Rose Lane. This is an ancient track which has been in use since Roman times, in fact there used to be a pike house at the start of the lane which is sadly no longer there as it was demolished when the A419 was built.
