Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates.  This letterbox is located along the Pinoak trail in the Bradley Woods Metropark reservation.  The total hike will be a little less than a mile. A compass will be helpful.

Stay on the trail until reach the final location, the lock-n-lock should be an easy find.   Once you find the cache please use your stamp, if you have one, in the cache's log book.   There is plenty of room for trades, but please leave the stamp and stamp pad in the zip lock bag, as they are part of the letterbox.

To begin your journey, go to the trail-head for the pinoak trail, just behind the Codtington Shelter House.  These are the posted coordinates.  Look for the post with the trail marker.

From here a compass will be helpful. Set your heading to 200 degrees and walk about 1150 feet. Turn to a heading of 160 degrees and walk 87 feet. Turn to 180 degrees and walk 175 feet. Now turn to 105 degrees and walk 325 feet. Finally turn to 0 degrees and walk 338 feet. On your right will be a large gnarly tree about 15 feet off the trail, at the base of the tree you will find a small nook with sticks covering the cache.

You should stay on the path the whole time until you come to the gnarly tree. There is no need to veer off the path until the end. The distances were measured off of my pace and verified from my son's pace, however they may be off by a small amount. I did not measure these with a GPS and dropped pins.

Please rehide the cache in the same place and cover it completely with the sticks. My stamp has apparently left the cache, I will carve and bring a new one out as soon as I get the chance.
