The floral clock is the focal point of Kilmarnock Railway Station. Built in 1812 it is one of the earliest railway stations in Scotland. In 2011 East Ayrshire Council received a £104,000 grant from the Heritage Railway Trust which was used to redevelop the area including a new clock face, landscaping, lighting and repairs to the sandstone walls.
The cache site is located below the floral clock but take a short walk up to the railway station which offers extensive views of one of the busiest areas of Kilmarnock. There are plenty of metered parking spaces in the vicinity and the area is wheelchair accessible.
The cache only contains a log so please bring a pen. The cache is not located within the floral clock garden so please DO NOT cross the black barrier fence or climb onto the wall. Please replace the camouflage carefully.
