Calliope
1: The mythological Greek muse of epic poetry, daughter of Zeus and Mnemosyne, mother of Orpheus, inspiration for The Odyssey and The Iliad.
2: A musical instrument that produces sound by sending gas (steam, compressed air) through large whistles (originally from locomotives).
3. The name of a most excellent Yellow Labrador recently introduced into the family who will be visiting this local establishment (hopefully not too often), and named after both of the aforementioned definitions. If you ever see her be sure to log her collar trackable!
