Geocache Description:

The container for this cache isn't at the posted coordinates!

Situated along the banks of the beautiful Rock River, Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens brings the tropics to the Midwest. The facility is the third largest conservatory in Illinois, offering an 11,000-square-foot plant exhibition area complete with water features, seating areas, and sculptures, all in a tropical plant setting.

The beauty continues outdoors with the newly restored Eclipse Lagoon, complete with two fountains and a waterfall, pedestrian bridge, patio areas, and walkway connecting the Conservatory to the Sinnissippi Rose Garden.

**There is an admission charge to go into the Conservatory, but not for the outdoor portion where all the stages of this cache are located.**

And now, onto the cache!!

The cache is located at N 42 1A.BCD W089 0E.FGH

*Use the provided waypoint markers to locate the following items. Each waypoint's name corresponds with the letter of the coords that you're trying to solve.

*Use the solution checker at the end to check to see if your final coordinates are accurate.

A = The statue of the photographer is wearing a watch. The minute hand is located between two lines that represent numbers on a clock. The lower value of the two numbers is going to be known as "A".

B = Find the statue where the girl is sitting on a bench with an animal at her side. What animal is she sitting with? Squirrel=6 Mouse=4 Dog=1 Duck=9 Your answer is now known as "B"

C = Locate the red, orange, yellow and purple statue in the middle of the roundabout at the entrance to the conservatory. Look at the red colored wing-like part of the statue at the top, and count how many fingers there are. This will be known as "C".

D = Locate the huge dedication plaque for the Eclipse Lagoon. It is located right about the midsection. (hint: it has the Rockford Park District's logo in the top corners). Add 4 to the very last number at the bottom of the plaque, and this will be known as "D".

*Go to the north end of the lagoon near the rose garden for the next three questions. There you'll find an area that has paver bricks with words on them.

E = Scott Jensen had a first date here. What is the numerical value of the first letter in the other person's name on the brick? Your answer will be known as "E". (hint: A=1, Z=26)

F = All of the paver blocks have 4 sides, except for one of them. How many letters does the first word on the block contain? Your answer will be known as "F".

G = There is a paver that starts out with the words "A what? A what?". Take the number of exclamation points there on the brick and add one to it. This will be known as "G".

H = Find the "dancers" statue that's in the picture below and look at the plaque on the ground at its base. The last digit of the year PLUS 4 is going to represent "H".
