Geocache Description:

This cache should be quick and easy to find. There is some parking nearby, but please use stealth as some houses may be able to see the cache location.

I've finally gotten around to hiding a new cache, sorry to all for the delay; university has been keeping me quite busy!

Sodium has an atomic number of 11 and is in group 1 (the Alkali metals) with a chemical symbol of Na (from Latin: Natrium) and electron configuration of [Ne] 3s1. It was discovered and first isolated in 1807 by Humphry Davy.

Sodium compound NaCl is arguably the most well known: it is just normal table salt. In biology, sodium ions, along with potassium ions are used to create concentration gradients and are useful for the transmission of nerve impulses (Action Potentials) along the axons of neurons.
