The original CO grew up on the island and used to come here to "get away" and sit on the bench located at the other end of the trail over looking the pond. There is also easy parking if you come in from the right direction, you can bring your dog, and walk along the beach after if you choose to.
The previous CO wrote the following directions. I've changed the terrain to 2.5 because there are several ways to get to the cache, some are easier than others. No real bushwacking is necessary some paths seem to be animal trails and therefore are narrow.
From the parking lot follow the path on the left which will bring you to the dirt road and the Sheriff Meadow trail head.. Follow the red trail. When you get to the Y go to the left and continue to follow the red trail. :)
