Six years ago - Sept. 1, 2007 - we found our first geocache. While JC Park (GCQA8D) was actually our second find that Saturday, it was the first one we logged with, "Our eight-year-old son found this one." Last week that "eight-year-old" started high school!
Over the last six years we've met some incredible people, visited some phenomenal places, and spent some great time together as a family because of geocaching! This Sept. 1, six years later, we placed a geocache near (300 ft) the recently archived cache. If you found the original, this one is hidden the same way... except this one is an ammo can, not a 35mm canister. It is filled with swag we've acquired through the years from multiple ammo cans, tupperware, and lock-n-locks.
FYI - the mosquitoes almost carried us off when we placed the cache and again when when we rechecked the coords... and the short hike to GZ can get muddy.
