Second cache along Withams River Walk
Witham's River Walk was conceived as providing a touch of the countryside through the middle of the town as it began its expansion in the early 1970s. It runs for about 4 miles along the River Brain from Ebenezer Close in the north to Whetmead Nature Reserve in the south east.
The section from Ebenezer Close to Chipping Hill is pretty well left to nature to provide habitat for a variety of wild life. The rest of the River Walk is mainly open spaces of mown grass but interspersed with natural areas.
I plan to extend this series along the full length of the river walk
