Fall In the Wall Cache Traditional Cache

Almost a P&G but you'll want to explore the falls & stream nearby. This cache is almost visible from Fall in the Wall Kayaking Waterfall.  It's a popular run in the spring for whitewater enthusiasts. It's name is derived from the fact that as you kayak over the falls you appear to be falling into a wall.

Do not park or attempt cache from I-90! Due to snow pack during winter months, this cache is tethered near but not over the steep ledge. (KEEP SMALL KIDS BACK UNTIL LOCATED! You can retrieve using waist high chain)  Fall in the Wall is often overlooked by those on their way to better known Franklin Falls further down the road or one of many nearby trailheads.  The cache is placed in commemoration of Hotpapika and Vagabond24's first geocaching event (Going Ape 8/18/13). To locate the falls look for the WPA style rock wall on the right side of the road. The cache is to the left of the wall. DO NOT go over any ledge. The cache is accessible following the shoulder gravel, just push lightly through a cedar bough or two to reach the chained tree trunk. When exploring during low water you can access the top of the falls via a small trail to the right of the rock wall. (BE CAREFUL!) Do not slip and fall as the water is cold and dangerous.  Keep kids and pets on a leash. Original contents are a FTF pin, a few trinkets and a Going Ape Geocoin launch.
