Geocache Description:

Welcome to the world of Formula 1. Since I can remember I have always been fascinated by the smell of burning rubber and petrol fumes. As a youngster I was brought up with the likes of Nelson Piquet, Alain Prost, Niki Lauda, Nigel Mansell to name but a few.


This mystery cache is all about facts and figures, so let’s see who else knows there DRS from the KERS.

You will need to find out certain facts and solve the formula to locate the cache.

 

Q1.  What year was F1 first introduced in its modern form?  (***J)

Q2.  Mike Hawthorn was the first British driver to win a World Championship but which year? (***C)

Q3.  In what year did Michelin first produce tyres for an F1 season? (**I*)

Q4.  In what year did Phil Hill win his one and only World Championship? (***G)

Q5.  Michael Schumacher has won the most titles to date, but in what year did he win his 5th title? (***K)

Q6.  Jack Brabham won his first title in this year whilst using an English engine supplier ‘Coventry Climax’? (**L*)

Q7.  In 1992, Nigel Mansell won his famous GP title, but how many podiums did he achieve in his career? (*B)

Q8.  John Surtees is one of our famous British drivers who competed in both motorbike and cars. How many career points did he acquire in F1? (F**)

Q9.  Ayrton Senna de Silva has been voted as one of the greatest racing drivers of all time, he held the record for most pole positions until 2006. Sadly his career was cut short following an accident in 1994 whilst driving for Williams. How old was he when he died? (M*)

Q10.  Jackie Stewart won his 3rd Championship in 1973 but how many podiums did he achieve? (A*)
