Geocache Description:

This cache is off the Brookside-McCurdy trail near Bailey, CO.

This is one of my favorite trails to hike with the dogs or ride my horse.  I placed this cache here because it is a nice stopping point after climbing up the trail and it is a nice grassy area to graze the horses.  The cache is named after my horse, Charger, who decided to "charge" off while I was hiding the container.  Luckily my husband rode after him and was able to catch him a short distance away.

Directions to the trailhead:  From US 285 in Bailey, go south across the South Platte river on County Road 64 between the Post Office and Moore Lumber (across the highway from the Conoco Station). After 0.45 miles take a left at the Y onto the dirt road. Go 2.2 miles to the Payne Creek/Brookside trailhead on the left (south) side of the road.  There is horse trailer parking just past the trailhead on the right side in the meadow next to the road.

You area looking for a plastic ammo can.  Original cache contents include a thermos, collapsible dog bowl, bubbles, necklaces, etc.
