The Millstone Tufty Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Leeroy71: I'm archiving all of my caches due to a change in circumstances, on-going problems with pain/ injury and following feedback from a fellow cacher.

Thanks to all of you who visited and enjoyed my caches and to those who didn't enjoy them, sorry but I tried my best. It's time to let somebody else have a go.

When able in the future, I still hope to get out and about finding the odd cache.

Geocache Description:

A fun little traditional cache 'n' dash in Winnersh.

This cache can be found at, on or in a large millstone (well I think it's a millstone anyway!!) that is plonked randomly at the side of Longdon Road.

There used to be a cache (now archived) in a tree nearby and it was whilst looking for this cache that I first noticed the strange millstone and it caught my attention as it looks somewhat out of place in it's surroundings of a modern housing estate and the M4. My best guess is there used to be a, now long gone, mill nearby that was swallowed up by the railway or M4. I've tried looking at old maps of Winnersh to confirm this, but I couldn't find anything.

You are looking for a man made natural object. Please return the cache to the exact same place as it was found, to ensure maximum cover.
