Kätkö sijaitsee keskellä vanhojen metsien suojelualuetta, jonka erikoisuutena on useat mukuraiset kuusipuut. Kyseessä lienee pahkaan verrattavissa oleva perinnöllinen kasvullinen epämuodostuma, koska lähes kaikki kuuset ovat enemmän tai vähemmän muhkuraisia. Kätköpurkki on sijoitettu yhden muhkuraisimman kuusen läheisyyteen.
Vanhojen metsien suojelualueella voi liikkua jokamiehenoikeuksin, mutta leiriytyminen ja tulenteko on rauhoitusmääräyksissä kielletty.
Luonnosuojelualuetta kiertää metsätie, mutta varsinaista polkua kuusikkoon ei ole. Auton voi parkkeerata metsätien poskeen ja jatkaa matkaa jalan kätkölle. Riippuen jalkautumispaikasta matkaa kätkölle jää 200-500m. Talvella metsätiet eivät ole auratut ja auto kannattaakin jättää Heinämäen majan parkkipaikalle ja jatkaa lumikengin tai suksin kätkölle.
Purkki on 0,5L vetoinen pakasterasia, sisältäen mm. lokikirjan ja kynän.
This cache is located in nature reserve where several spruces have several burls i.e. tree growth in which the grain has grown in a deformed manner. Close to the cache you see one spruce with many burls.
In the nature reserve you can hike with everyman's right exept camping and campfire are not allowed.
The road surrounds the nature reserve and there is no entry point or nature trail leading to the cache. Just park your car next to the surrounding road and then make your way to the cache. Depend on your parking location the distance to the cache is about 200 to 500m.Its not sure that the roads are open during the winter season. In the winter time park your car in parking pace close to the Heinämäki cottage and continue your trip by ski or snowshoes.
The cache container is 0,5 litre Tupperware that has Log Book, Pen and a few small swaps
