Hwy 395 to Independence Ca. Go west on Onion Valley Road all the way to the end and park. Take the Kearsarge Trail to the pass,11,700 ft.
At the pass take a hard right and go up the ridge. There is a small trail. Continue over to the peak going around 3 false peaks.
The best and easiest way to the summit is from the northwest. There is a 4th class move involved.
