I've always wanted to place a cache here. The problem was I could not think of a creative container or name. I recently attended the 11 annual GeoCache Hampton roads picnic, wich was a MEGA EVENT! That happened because of the folks wearing purple shirts( and the people they conned into helping). That event would not be happening without the motivation and dedication from them folks. If you run into ANY volunteers for that event please thank them!
I tried to donate this setup at the GCHR#11 silent auction. Me being me, I was running late and missed the entry deadline. I was kinda bummed and really didn't want to bring it back to Elizabeth City. There are a couple of these in place here already. I threw it back in the Jeep and forgot about it untill this evening. I was fishing here and seen the spot,it fit perfectly. Thats great but what about a name? I was watching the tall boats go by and heard the "siren". If you are lucky you might hear the siren also! It's quite a show to see.
