Another in a series caches placed along my favorite trails through
the redwood trees here in Northern California.
This is a small container located along the Pomponio Trail in Pescadero County Park.
I was leading a group of hikers today and we started discussing Geocaching. The group noticed this spot and asked if it would be a place to hide a cache. I had this container in my pack so I said "sure, why not?" I had planned on hiding a new cache out here this weekend anyway so I let the cachers in the group sign the log and then hid the container.
There are several ways to get here. Anyone going after this type of hide will be able to find the trail.
UPDATE 9/4/23 : The background photo is a spoiler. GPS coordinates are very iffy in this area because of the tree cover. The cache can be found without leaving the trail.
