A cache located near the Tyn Llwyn car park and picnic area in the Gwydr Forest. Access the car park from the A5 road by turning off near Ty Hyll (the Ugly House) and driving along a single track road (with passing places) for about three quarters of a mile. The road is very steep at the start but levels off. Please take care on this road as it’s a winding narrow lane with little visibility of what lies ahead nor warning of approaching traffic.
To attempt this cache turn into the car park – plenty of room for 10-15 cars – do not park at the roadside please. GZ is on the opposite side of the road to the car park so please be careful as you cross. The cache is located on a steep bank at the edge of the forest so care is necessary – especially so if there are youngsters involved in the search.
No rocks or stones have been used to cover the cache but to find it you will need to move small pieces of tree related material. Please replace as found.
Congratulations to Surfski1 and Dyffryn on their joint FTF - I wonder if this is a record? I submitted the cache for publication at 9.46 am. It was published by Deceangi at 11.17 am (thanks Dec) and the FTF was timed at 12.15pm. Anyone having knowledge of a quicker find please let me know!!
