Pippa's Log Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

syntegra: The cache container was made from a piece of log and I suspect it is a 'target' for dogs, badgers and foxes to play with! I am setting a new cache near the bench with the fabulous view. It is too good a view not to put a cache here!

Geocache Description:

A short walk from the Old Blandford Road to a lovely viewpoint of the city and cathedral.

This cache is placed on Bishop’s Walk close to one of the best views of Salisbury Cathedral

from Harnham Hill on the Southern slopes of the town. Bishop's Walk and the adjacent

slope were presented to the citizens of Salisbury by Bishop John Wordsworth. Broad

leaved woodland has replaced the grassy slopes where sheep used to graze in Bishop

Wordsworth’s days. Because of this, there are now very few places along the Walk where

there are any decent views of the City.

Park in the Old Blandford Road and walk along to the cache. You could do ‘Lucy’s Bunker’

and ‘A Glimpse of the 404 Feet’ at the same time.
