Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates.  You'll have to trek around a ways to make this find. Please respect cemetery hours. There is parking to the east of the posted coords, but it is metered. The final IS NOT in the cemetery, but within 2 miles.

This cache's origins are threefold:  I got the idea for the GZ almost a year ago, but never had any particular idea of how to make the cache more than just a quick find.  Last weekend, I did a neat powertrail that included a letterbox, which reminded me that I had been meaning to place one in the area.  Finally, I remembered a very neat multi idea that I could utilize to make this cache.  The end result is this cache, my 50th hide.

To find this cache, you must follow a pair of straight-line maps I've provided below. From the starting coordinates, you'll proceed east to the first intersection of roads in the cemetery. Based on the map, you'll choose which road to follow, and proceed to the next intersection and repeat.

The map is read from bottom to top. Examples of how to read the map are as follows:

A few additional notes:
*Paths are defined as a trail that has asphalt or gravel. Grass-only trails are not paths for the purposes of this cache. (For example, you will come to a convergence of trails next to a boulder labeled "Kerr" on the first straight-line map. This is not an intersection, as the right trail is grass-only.)
*Immediate dead-ends are not counted as paths.
*Exit roads and parking lots are not counted as paths.

As stated before, start from the posted coordinates and proceed EAST. Follow the first straight-line map through until the box (the last intersection). At this intersection, look to the SW for a tombstone with a surname starting with W. Take Judith's BIRTH year and subtract 1216. That will be the last 3 digits of your NORTH coordinate.

Return to the intersection you just ended the first map at and start heading WEST. You'll use the second straight-line map in the same manner you used the first, until you reach its ending box. Look to the NW of this intersection to find a grave with the surname starting with M. Take Minerva's BIRTH year and subtract 960, giving you the last 3 digits of the WEST coordinate.

The cache can be found at N 40° 05.??? W 088° 12.???.
.
Container only has the letterbox stamp and a log to start- Bring your pen, and your own inkpad if you're stamping. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE STAMP. In addition, please do not spoil the final GZ of the cache in your logs- I will be checking this carefully, lest someone accidentally ruins the fun/challenge for future cachers.

Two things about the final: It is NOT in the cemetery (it's a good walk or short drive away), and it's not on the lamppost.
