Just an Old Cottonwood Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OneOldDog: Was out to check this one and some critter has moved into this tree and I don't want to fight for space with him. Sorry to have to archive it but I think thats the right thing to do.

Geocache Description:

Nebraska designated the cottonwood as the official state tree in 1972,  replacing the original choice made in 1937.....the American Elm.   The cottonwoods are grown for there timber production along wet river banks because of erosion and flooding.

The wood is coarse and of low value, used for pallet boxes, shipping crates and similar items.  Personally I love the sound of the wind through the leaves.  But I loath the flying cotton in the summer.  Sometimes it even looks like snow as accumulated in the edge of the grass.

You are looking for a camo cylinder with small trading items , a log and a pencil.  Please return it as you found it.
