Geocache Description:

This cache is another chance to get back in to the woods! Some of our favorite caches are trails we can walk with our dogs, so we decided to add a few of these to the area. Brady’s Lake is one of the few public lakes in our area and is well used but still allows a quiet walk. There are also a number of other geocaches around the lake so be sure to check them out!

This cache can be found in Brady’s Lake off of 940 in Pocono Lake on the trail we have always called the " loop".  There are a few ways to get to this cache so I will do my best to give you some guidance.    The 1st will be from the main parking lot, found at the end of a 3 mile gravel road from 940 that dead ends at the lake.   You will have to cross the dam than follow the trail 3 miles to the cache, this is the easiest.

The 2nd and longest starts at the parking area at the steel gate (waypoint included) on your left before main parking lot at the lake.  Follow the trail to the old rail road beds,  a few miles in the road will turn to your right on a new logging road this will take you to the cache also or stay straight on old bed trail (there is a bit of cover at this point but you can still see the trail clearly) this is our favorite path, if you follow this you will come to a few old rail road ties still in the ground you make a right at the point (4.3 miles) and follow to the cache.  After finding the cache you can return the way you came or head down the path and make a left and follow this to the lake and dam. ( There is a grassy path before the hitting the lake on your right that will take you back to the rail road trail if you want to skip the lake and dam and the walk on the road back to your car at the gate)  this “loop” is around 9.5 miles depending on your route choice.

This cache can also be done on a mountain bike, we have biked the “loop “many times!  Enjoy
