Birdin' loves wandering the trails of Goose Island in search of birds or maybe some wildflowers. Just this past spring, she spotted four roosting Long-Eared Owls, which got area birders mobbing the place, and one of them discovered a Barn Owl. That really brought out the birding crowd. Trekkin', on the other hand, just likes to nose around here for caches or whatever might capture his fancy. Unfortunately, Trekkin' was doing that one day and kind of got off trail a little bit and left something behind.
You too, can wander the trails of Goose Island, and it's your choice if you'd like to look for birds, or see what Trekkin' misplaced here. We suspect we already know what anyone reading this far is likely to choose. You can enjoy a pleasant hike along nice trails almost to the spot where he lost something, then bushwhack in to see if you can discover what it was. Or.....you can just go off trail and take the jungle approach. Your choice!
