This geocache is a memorial to my Black Labrador Retriever named Jessie who died recently from cancer. She was my geocaching buddy for many years and I miss her very much. I got her as a puppy in 2000 and she was full of energy. She loved to swim and did so at every opportunity. I was amazed that she would put her head under water to get something on the bottom of the lake or river. She was a retriever in every sense of the word and would chase sticks and balls and never seemed to get tired. She even learned to find geocaches. I never trained her to do this but she learned on her own. When she found a geocache she would stand next to it and wag her tail. She was a remarkable dog and one I will never forget.
This cache is in a spot that Jessie would like and one that she has been to many times. It is along the old Grayville Road that goes through a section of the Salmon River Forest in Amston, CT. There is no need to dismantle anything to find the cache. It can be found by moving one object.
