Made the short drive up here after work to check out another lookout site and found more than I thought I would.
I came up from Bennett Pass on 35. It's a 4x4 road with some good drops along the way, especially on the approach to GC1FHPZ. Windy, rocky, and narrow, with a long drop on one side. My kind of road! There are other ways in, but this one's shorter for me. It's about 5 miles from the highway to the cache, with a short walk from the gate to the top. Once on top I hope you'll be as surprised as I was of what's there. It seems the Portland Autobon Society has a raptor migration project going on here since '96. (See Website) After reading all the kiosks, go North to where the old foundations are, then look for VooDoo's grave a bit to the west. Your very close now.
