I'm My Own Grandpa
If this were a science fiction story we would need to consider the logic loop of whether it is possible to travel back in time and meet someone from before you are born, if that meeting is crucial to your ever being born. But instead the song concerns the illogical logic of our language when discussing relationships between the generations. It was written by Dwight Latham in 1947 after he read, in a book by Mark Twain, that it would be possible for a man to become his own grandfather. At least you do not have to work out the family tree in order to solve the puzzle.
