Geocache Description:

A long time ago, a framer named Seizaemon, riding on his horse, fell into thi spring and was scalded to death. The spring takes its name from this farmer. Until the Meiji era, this spring was active all day and night. Legend has it that the louder you call the name of this spring, the bigger it spurts, and the smaller your voice is, the smaller it spurts.

Of the many hots springs found from ancient times, the Seven Hot Springs of Atami hold important roles in the history of Atami Onsen. We hope that a knowledge of the history of the Seven Host Springs will help our visitors enjoy touring our onsen town.

There is no pen in the cache.
