Le Code di Bosco rappresentano l'estrema propaggine sud orientale del bosco del Cansiglio. Sono individuabili grossomodo nella zona delimitata:
- a sud ovest dalla dorsale del Col Alt
- ad Est dalla rotabile che dal Gaiardin sale verso le malghe comunali di Caneva: Pizzoc e Brusada,
- a sud, dagli ultimi pascoli prima del bosco, sopra la località La Maloria
- a nord dal Col Oliver ed alle prime pendici del col Brombol e del Col Maior.
Pur non facendo parte della Foresta Demaniale del Cansiglio propriamente detta (delimitata dai confini fissati nel 1875), ad essa è collegata dai boschi di faggio che degradano dal Col Brombol e Col Maior, fino al Col Oliver e giù giù fino alla valletta delimitata dal Col Alt e dal Gaiardin.
Al tempo i cui i pascoli dominavano il paesaggio prealpino fino alla foresta vera e propria, ossia da tempo immemorabile fino agli anni cinquanta/sessanta del secolo scorso, le Code di Bosco erano realmente una striscia (coda) di vegetazione ad alto fusto, circondata dalla zona a prato delle malghe, sia sul lato trevigiano che su quello pordenonese.
Due luoghi indicano chiaramente la zona: La malga Coda di Bosco, a quota 900 m lungo la strada del Gaiardin e, soprattutto, la casera Code di Bosco, poco discosta dalla strada che sale da Villa di Villa di Cordignano a quota 750m circa. Entrambe le Casere si trovano al limitare del bosco d'alto fusto. In primavera, se guardiamo dalla pedemontana che sta tra il Veneto e il Friuli, le Code di Bosco si distinguono per il colore verde chiaro saturo dei faggi, che risalta sul resto della vegetazione del paesaggio circostante.
La cache è di dimensioni micro e all'interno contiene solamente il logbook. Portatevi una penna e buona caccia!
La coda di bosco (the tails of the wood) represent the extreme south-eastern foothills of the Cansiglio woods. Are detectable in the area roughly bounded:
- southwest from the ridge of the Col Alt
- to the east by the road that goes up to the huts Gaiardin municipal Caneva: Pizzoc and Brusada,
- south, from the last pastures before the forest, above the hamlet of La Maloria
- north from Col Oliver and the first slopes of the Col and with Brombol Maior.
Although not part of the State Forest Cansiglio proper (defined by the boundaries set in 1875), it is connected by beech woods that slope from Col and Col Brombol Maior, to Col Oliver and all the way down to the valley bounded by Col Alt and the Gaiardin.
At the time when the pastures dominated the Alpine foothills to the real forest, ie from time immemorial up to the fifties / sixties of last century, the Code of Bosco were actually a strip (tail) of high vegetation, surrounded by lawn area of huts, both on the side and on that Treviso Pordenone.
Two places clearly indicate the area: The hut queue Bosco, at an altitude of 900 m along the road of Gaiardin and, above all, the dairy Code of Forest, just off the road that goes from Villa di Villa Cordeaux at an altitude of approximately 750m. Both Casere are on the edge of the forest of tall trees. In the spring, if we look from the foothills that lies between the Veneto and Friuli, the Code of Forest are distinguished by the light green color saturation of the beech trees, which stand out against the rest of the vegetation of the surrounding landscape.
