Forradalom tere:

A Thököly út és a Szitakötő utca kereszteződésénél levő közterületnek sokáig nem volt hivatalos elnevezése.
2006 október 23-án kapta meg a jelenlegi "Forradalom tere" elnevezést, az 1956-os forradalom ötvenedik évfordulója alkalmából.
A téren már ekkor is megtalálható volt az 56-os emlékhely, melyet minden évben sokan látogatnak és koszorúznak.

Budapesten a legfrissebb lexikon szerint nagyjából egytucatnyi utca/térnév őrzi 1956 emlékét.
A legtöbb a forradalom hőseire emlékszik: a ferencvárosi Angyal István park, a XVII. kerületi Erdész József utca, az újpesti Gábor László utca,a XVII. kerületi Géczi József utca, a III. kerületi Herhoff György utca, az erzsébetvárosi Kéthly Anna tér, az újpesti Kósa Pál sétány, a XVII. kerületi Mansfeld Péter utca, a XXII. kerületi Mihalik Sándor utca és a II. kerületi Nagy Imre tér.
És van két, fogalmat, magát az eseményt megörökítő elnevezés, az egyik a már említett, kispesti Ötvenhatosok tere, a másik a lágymányosi Október 23. utca.

Korsós lány:

A 2 m magas bronz szobrot Kerényi Jenő készítette 1967-ben.
Az ötvenes-hatvanas években az állami lakások beruházásánál a bekerülési összeg egy ezrelékét köztéri művészi alkotásokra: szobrokra és muráliákra kellett fordítani.
Ennek keretében született meg ez az alkotás is, mint ahogy a közelben található Kiss-Kovács Gyula Mackók c. szobra is.

Forradalom square:

The public space in the Thököly and Szitakötö Street intersection had no official name for a long time.
At 2006 October 23 the local government gave a name for this place "Forradalom tere". The reason of the name is, how the square had a memorial for the hungarian revolution of 1956.

At Budapest you can find several public spaces named by this revolution.
Most of them are a tribute to the heroes: at Ferencváros Angyal István park, the Erdész József street in the XVII. district, the Gábor László street at Újpest, Géczi József street in the XVII. district, the Herhoff György street in the III. district, the Kéthly Anna square in Erzsébetváros, the Kósa Pál walkway at Újpest, the Mansfeld Péter street in the XVII. district, the Mihalik Sándor street in the XXII. district and the Nagy Imre square in the II . district.
And there are two place which named about generally the revolution, the first is the Ötvehatosok tere at Kispest, and the other is the Október 23. street at Lágymányos.

Statue - Korsós lány:

The two-meter high bronze sculpture made by Eugene Kerenyi in 1967.
In the 50's-60's at the goverment's flat construction project there was a rule, to make artistic creations near to the flats. The sculpture was being made inside of this project, as the near "Mackók" (Bears) sculpture too which made by Kiss-Kovács Gyula.
