Geocache Description:

200 feet from this cache is a large beaver dam on the site of a former sheep pond dam.100 years ago a farmer piled up some stones in the brook to hold back water to form a little pond where his sheep could drink. The probable location of the beaver lodge is 100 feet upstream from the dam. The cache is next to the 3-mile, blue-blazed Foote Path which starts at Abbotts Pond (see “The Park” for suggested access).
