The cache container is a large peanut butter jar (carefully washed and aired out for a year, but apologies to anyone with peanut sensitivities). It contains small toys, some related to Sleeping Beauty. The cache name comes from the card that is associated with it, which is a photo of a juvenile Weddell Seal lounging on an Antarctic beach. Trade a toy if you wish, and/or take a collectible card that is part of our Polar Protector series (these are restocked periodically, but can be viewed or printed from the Polar Protectors geocache site). Expect muggles (please replace carefully).
Did you know?
Weddell Seals are the seals who live in the most southerly regions of the world? They do not live in the Northern Polar Region.
Krill is an essential food for Weddell Seals.
Animals can go blind from the thinning ozone layer? You can prevent this by being careful right where you live. Keep seals like this one sleeping beautifully!
Congratulations to jil 294 on FTF, to the supersonic70 cacher on STF, and to TTF, FreddyCougar, for refraining from going cougar-speed to grab FTF. :)
Thank you to all cachers for keeping this interesting and for taking care to protect this cache from muggles.
