The concept of the novelty comic song has been around for a very long time. You, like us, may be surprised to find out just how long. They also seem to have been popular across their long history. Most of the songs we have chosen for this puzzle reached number 1 on the sales charts of their day.
We can remember our parents singing some of these songs to us as children. We hasten to add that some of these songs pre-date even our parents!
