The park has undergone many changes recently. I grew up playing here and as soon as the street lights came on you better be on your way home. During the summer a bus would pick up all the kids and take us to the lake every afternoon. My children also spent their youths here, between football, baseball, softball, fieldhockey, sledding and snowmobiling in the winter and bikes and 4 wheelers in the summer, this was always the first place to look when trying to find them. When our grandchildren recently stayed with us while their dad was stationed in Korea, they too could often be found here playing on the new playground. So in their honor we have placed this cache, in hopes that many more generations of Franklin's youth will have a chance to enjoy this special place.
