The reason for the cache placement is that this was once a popular swimming hole in the summer months. It looks so much smaller than it did when I remember visiting it in the past. Many afternoons were spent here when it was too hot to do anything else.
A beaver has been busy here but I think it may have been helped to find another home by the looks of things.
There was a large (snapping?) turtle that lived in this pool many years ago. I wonder if Myrtle is still here somewhere.
