The GL series is made up of ten geocaches that will take you on a tour of the Goodrich-Loomis Conservation Area. Please do not go too far off of the trails because all caches are generally located no more than one metre from the trail. Please stay on marked trails as you travel from cache to cache.
**Be aware as there is poison ivy throughout the trails.**
This area has seen various reforestation efforts over the years in an attempt to stabilize slopes and erodible soils as well as reforest former agricultural lands. Since 1979, over 55,000 trees have been planted at Goodrich-Loomis Conservation Area.
Notice on one side of the trail are rows of trees from reforestation. On the other side of the trail are remnants from farming years ago, rock piles from field clearing and old fencing.
Lower Trent Conservation is a community-based environmental agency that protects, restores and manages the natural resources within its watershed.
They work with local communities to create a healthy, environmentally diverse watershed that improves the quality of life for residents, makes our area more appealing to visitors and new business, and helps to ensure a more vibrant regional economy.
