The O’Keefe prairie is a 40 year old restoration planted in what once was an Iowa alfalfa field. It is only two acres in size but contains over 75 species of wildflowers and prairie grasses.
The prairie is at its best during the summer when it is filled with flowers, butterflies, and bees; but it still has its charms the rest of the year
