Geocache Description:

I've noticed that geocachers like cemeteries so I wanted to start a series of cemeteries around this area.  The cache for this cemetery is along the north boundry.  The ground is pretty flat.  Please watch out for poison ivy.  I've tried to get rid of it, but I might have miss some.

Cedar Vale Cemetery was laid out by Ozmer Hills, son of Col, F.M. Hills (first Mayor of Cedar Vale), sometime in the 1870's.

One of the interesting stories in this cemetery is about a group of people in a wagon train camped on Cedar Creek which flooded and several were killed. They were buried in the SE section on the west edge. There is a grave marker decicated to the victims. The coordinates are N37 6.008 W096 30.501.

The cache is an ice cream container duck taped black with plenty of swag.  There is a lottery ticket for FTF.

Congratulations to Oilbear125 and Casinobear for FTF!
