Stage One in a major upgrade of Feilding’s Wastewater Treatment Plant, which treats both domestic and industrial wastewater, is completed.

The work comprised the installation of an inlet flow meter, new large capacity pumps, flow distribution systems, sludge lagoons and a chemical dosing system. Future upgrades will include automation of the biological trickling filters and chemical dosing, influent flow balancing, irrigation system,
river outfall structure and sludge dewatering processes.Council aims to complete the work by 2014
