For the memeory of old market village at SangNamMyon, ChangWon. ChangWon City started its development for machinery speciallized industrial zone from 1974. People at those towns, left their old ville to the past, wanted to make monuments for theirvmemories.

창원시 상남면 시장마을 옛터를 기억하고자 세운 비. 현재는 상남재래시장으로 이어져온다. 1974년 창원군의 상남면 웅남면 창원면 일대는 창원기계공업공단으로 지정되었다. 그들이 떠난 고향은 추억과 기념비로 남겨졌다.
