**BYO Pen!** **watch out for dangerous animals** Please be careful when pulling off on the side of the road for the caches along Kambah Pool Road. Welcome to my "Most Haunted" series! If you are into hunting ghosts, like me and my trusty Ovilus 3, then this is the series for you. This series lists my top ten (personal favorite!) haunted sites in the world. Some I have visited myself, others I am hoping to visit sometime in my life.
Poveglia Island is definitely one of the most haunted places in the world. It is celebrated within the paranormal community and is a sort of mecca for ghost hunters if you have the ability to convince the government and the locals to let you visit! Due to its incredibly tragic history the locals and Italian government seem to want to ignore it completely. The buildings on the island are steadily being taken over by the flora of the island and it is an incredibly dangerous place to do an investigation for the unstable surroundings and hostile ghosts. During the Italian plague around 1793, any Italians who were presumed infected were taken from their homes and isolated on the island, left to die. the island was used for quarantine until 1922 when it was opened as an asylum. Many patients were said to be tortured and lobotomized by a crazed doctor searching for the solution to sanity. According to local legend he was buried behind a brick wall in the bell tower, alive, and so the bell tower is one of the more haunted sites of the island.
